| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Squad | The group of roughly three to nine soldiers you bring into a match and command. You play as one of them; the rest are AI. See the squad system page. |
| Line-up | The set of squads you take into a match, chosen before it starts. You switch between them as each is exhausted. |
| Nation | One of USA, Germany, USSR or Japan. Progress, research and equipment all belong to a nation rather than to a campaign. |
| Research tree | The branching set of unlocks for a nation. Experience earned in battle advances it; Silver pays for what you unlock. |
| Silver | The in-game currency earned by playing. It replaced the various order currencies used before the campaign merge. |
| Gold | The premium currency, bought with real money. Used for premium squads, cosmetics and speeding up progression. |
| Premium squad | A squad sold for money, typically with distinctive equipment. Real capability rather than a cosmetic, which is why the pay-to-win question keeps coming up. |
| Rally point | A forward spawn built by an engineer. Lets your squad re-enter the fight near the objective instead of walking from the back. |
| Tickets / reinforcements | The shared pool attackers draw from. Defenders win by draining it before the last objective falls. |
| Objective / point | The marked position one side attacks and the other holds. Captured by infantry standing on it, not by kills. |
| APC | Armoured personnel carrier. Its real value is usually as a mobile forward spawn parked in cover, not as a gun. |
| Engineer | The class that builds: rally points, sandbags, ammunition boxes, anti-tank obstacles. |
| Radio operator | The class that calls in support fire. There is no infantry class that fires artillery directly. |
| Assaulter | Close-quarters infantry, typically carrying automatic weapons. The standard choice for taking a building. |
| Campaign | Historical: the old per-front progression structure (Moscow, Normandy, Tunisia, Berlin, Far Eastern Front). Merged into the four national trees. You will still see the word in older guides. |
| Reinforced | The name under which Enlisted first launched on Steam in March 2024, marking the restructured version. The Steam listing is now simply “Enlisted”. |
| Dagor Engine | Gaijin Entertainment's in-house game engine, also used for War Thunder. |
| Cross-play | Players on PC, PlayStation and Xbox sharing the same matches and the same account progress. |
